Contact Dell and ask for the restore disks. I'm sure there will be some sort of fee involved, don't know how much.

1. who cares.. just reinstall windows.

2. Definitely who cares! have you not read about problems with Hibernate and the waste of space it is? and you HAVE SSD RIGHT!?

3. who cares again!! unless your SSD is over 2 or 4 Terabytes in size!! i can't remember how much GPT is for.. over 4 terabytes maybe?

4. Oh my god! WHO CARES!! READ about Intel Rapid storage and the problems people have with it.. If it does work for you, great.. but if you already have SSD and Fast Ram.. who cares!! it just opens the door for more errors using Intel Rapid Share.. just google that!

You have an alien-ware laptop.. "dude.", you spent a lot of money and you didn't get a recovery cd or there is no alternative backup??

put in your model..

and anyway the second you got that kind of computer you should have made a macrium full image backup of it.. considering it's a special type of laptop.. no regular user just buys Alienware Laptops buddy!..

ha..

anyway,

I don't know which r1 or r2 or r3 or r4 you have..

i searched many times but no result
all results were about hoe to restore windows to factory sitting
and i am searching for hardware restoring ssd factory formats and hibernation & recovery partition
the factory setting for this ssd was partitioned as recovery partition-hibernate partition and the windows was installed on gpt or mbr i do not remember
really their is a big difference in performance before and after losing these settings
i tried alot to re partitioning the ssd with the factory mbr or gpt format but i have no result
the c partition now is ntfs and win 8 installed on
i do not know what to do
any suggestions ??

first, why do you know about alienware computers?

yet you don't know the actual fundamentals of what partitioning schemes you should use..

click this:
What

Look, my point is this,

You don't need your "FACTORY settings" to have your Alienware computer run fast..

the hardware is made to run at it's default speed.. no matter what.

example : if Alienware had a SSD that feels like it goes 60mph.. and then you reinstalled and it feels like 30mph.. all you are noticing is the fact that probably Alienware setup something like Intel Rapid Storage on your drive before you reinstalled it.. and guess what? you can install Rapid Storage yourself..

now of course you don't want to have to do all this, you just want your factory defaults.. well that's why i'm telling you the only thing you can do at this point is google the answer.. and HAVE YOU EVEN GONE TO Alienware forums to ask your question??

first off.. what isn't as fast? the bootup when you press your power button to the desktop??

look, I have a Lenovo laptop that has special recovery software that I can make my computer go back to like when I first bought it.. but you know what? i messed up the recovery partition and Now I can't use it.. but by googling and reading I finally found out the answer by these guys that fixed it by forcing a "fake" recovery partition and let me reinstall..

the point is, unless Alienware is going to send you the recovery CD or some expert programmers know how to fake your recovery partition, it's time to not worry about what used to be on your computer..

unless you had expensive programs that Alienware gave you for free! then you want those back! ha.

if you had the money to buy an alienware laptop you probably have the money to buy the recovery CD they will probably make you buy also..

let me know what the guys on the actual Alienware Forum say to you..

I guess now, if you get your recovery back, you will now make a backup of your computer using Macrium.. which by the way, is the first thing I did when I turned on my Lenovo crappy Laptop..
