Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series 3541 wireless driver

I just bought the above laptop. It came with ubuntu preinstalled. I did a clean install of windows 8.1 and downloaded all the drivers from the Dell support site. All drivers installed easily except the wireless+bluetooth driver. It keeps giving in error:"Activate bluetooth using wireless switch". I don't HAVE A wireless switch on my laptop!!! I tried restarting. On some googling, I installed quickset and toggled airplane mode with it. It works, but the setup is still stuck at that. Please help me!

According to the Dell manual, Function + Print Screen turns on or off Wireless. Perhaps this is what you need to do?

The Dell Manuals for your model are available here:

I would suggest you go to the Dell forum, that I linked. They should be able to help you.

Try a look through how to activate Bluetooth using wireless switch on dell inspiron 3542 thread . Although title is for a 3542 seems to solve some 3541 problems as well.

See post by DELL-Chris M 17 July 2014. Make sure BT is turn on in settings (turn off then back on) and THEN try the wireless key

I checked the Dell forum and didn't find your post? Where did you post it? On the Laptop hardware forum? on the Software section?

My Dell Inspiron won't connect to the internet via WI-Fi. But all other devices connect to it just fine. I can only get access to the internet using an Ethernet cable. I had this problem before, but it just magically solved itself after about 20 minutes of not doing anything. But it's been a...
Hi everyone, I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series laptop, and while I was using it tonight it suddenly turned off. I know it wasn't because of overheating, because the computer was cool to the touch right after it shut off. All I had open was Skype, and I was watching a video in Windows Media...
Just got my new laptop today, and of course first thing I do is open it up and put in an SSD. Well it looks like the "holder" that you put the drive in before screwing it into the actual laptop is warped... Photo attached. If you look, towards the left of the pic is where the screw is, then the...

Dell came out with a new 2 in 1 (tablet/laptop) in June of this year. I could not afford the surface pro 3 and for the money I did not want to still spend over $700 for the surface pro 2, so I checked this out. I went to a show that showed it and I really liked it over the levano. I got it with a...
