Solved Drive Letters not showing on computer anymore???

Picture should say it all.. I have plugged in external drives and now they don't show up in my windows.. but I can access them through disk management!....

I didn't change anything!

ideas to get them back in my explorer window?

I did have similar problems, after buying a $20 AC-powered 4-port usb hub, no more notSeeingHD problems. There are AC-powered 10-port usb hubs available from many retail stores.

thanks.. that is defintely the culprit.. I have a Cheap RadioShack 4port powered usb hub.. I'm sure that caused the problem..

Well, I'm sure it has seen its newer, better, days :) I had one from somewhere, it lasted awhile. Now, I have three from Altex, I want those three ac-powered 4-usb-port hubs for three computers to last a long time.

I've read the anker 9usb powered port hubs are really reliable..

Try running diskpart then use the command automount /enable

They all showed back up after restarting but good to know for the future..
