If I make a .txt file in Notepad and try to save it on the C:\ drive, I get a message:

"A required privilege is not held by the client"

How can I fix this?

I am using a tablet from NextBookUSA with only 1 GB of RAM.
The OS is Windows 8.1 with Bing. (Whatever that means)
There are other problems, but I need to fix this first.

I initially presented this problem to their support, at Nextbookusa.com
but they could not help, saying:
"Microsoft would need to assist you, as that has to do with the operating system itself."

Retired in 2015 after working in the tech industry for 41 years. First 10 years as a Technician, the rest as a programmer/software engineer. After 1 year of retirement, I was bored so went back to work as a Robotic Process Automation Consultant. Retired for 3rd (and final) time in 2019.
