Solved Touchscreen keyboard keeps disappearing

Hi, hoping someone can put me out of my misery. I have a Linx 10 tablet which runs win8 and is great. however, the touch keyboard is driving me nuts. as soon as I start typing in the address bar in Chrome if the character I have typed matches a previous entry then the keyboard scrolls away and I'm left with an unwanted piece of text in the address bar and having to keep calling the keyboard back whilst pages I don't want to load keep doing so! Driving me mad, is it Win 8 or a Linx adjustment I need to make?
