Action Center says "Install Your Memory Card Reader Driver

I got a message from Action Center or the flag. It says to "Install Your Memory Card Reader Driver". I thought it was already installed.

Can someone help me out here on getting it installed or re-installed?

Also, I believe there is a new version out. I went to Acer Support and Drivers and couldn't find a card reader driver.

Is Memory card reader working fine ? Also supply make and model of it too.

In Device Manager, are there any yellow exclamation points on devices or Unknown devices listed?
Also in Device Manager can go to View and select Show Hidden Devices temporarily.

I have a Startech front bay Memory card Reader, never usually needs drivers uses Windows 8.1.

Then did you try to open the action center through Control Panel, see what tells you there, if drivers are in and working should see drives in File Explorer and in Device Manager in 2 areas, Disk Drives and portable devices, make sure shows drivers there when checking Device manager from above question first.

jds63, yes I have checked everything. Everything looks okay. I found the latest driver on the Acer website, and I have the latest version downloaded. I even installed it, then went to Programs and Features, and come to find out, it didn't install the latest version. Why? I don't know.

What exactly happens when you select it from Action center icon, open it ? Did you check there at all ? Ways of making the message stop telling you, unless it's truly not on PC. Look at Driver tab in Device manager under either Portable devices or other devices, also check through System devices and Universal serial bus, see find driver version and correct date.

    This is the correct driver,

Seems that is telling me Windows can not find one for you. You must install it from the manufacturer's site, how is that going again ?
