touch screen functionality has stopped working

Hi can someone help me, as I have installed w8 release preview on my touchsmart tx2 1005AU and touch screen functionality has stopped working altogether

You need to re-load the drivers for that computer/laptop into your new Win8 install.

Probably find them on the manufacturers website. Windows 7 drivers /should/ work ok. Though a LOT of touch drivers are not really "touch" drivers but are "mouse" drivers so the full touch functionality in Win8 may or may not be usable even after install (But the touch screen should at least work in one of the two modes)

This has happened to me as well! I have gone to the manufactures website and there is no driver listed for pen and touch. Also in my PC info it is listing NO PEN or Touch input is available. I have searched and searched for an answer and the activate windows did not work - reinstall an older driver from the windows catalog did not work. HP help said they needed me to ship it to them - they were going to replace the keyboard - the problem was answered by a previous forum topic regarding the HP CONNECTED REMOTE. So I am trying my luck on this topic as well. HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15 b153cl.

I should say that I have refreshed my computer and reinstalled all of my programs 2 times now. There has got to be an easy answer.
