So I have an intermittent problem with screen rotation on my xps 12. Rotation works as it should most of the time, auto disabling in laptop mode, reenabling in tablet mode, and it auto-restricts rotation to landscape only when using side-by-side with two apps.
The problem occurs when closing one or both side-by-side apps and then trying to rotate into portrait again. It doesn't happen consistently, but perhaps 75% of the time. Rotation will usually work in the tile menu, but upon launching an app it will go back to landscape again. Sleep/wake will sometimes fix this, but it usually requires a restart. This seems like a software issue, since rotation will always work is some capacity when the problem occurs.
Any ideas?
