    Can we hibernate 8.1 Tablet?

I noticed that my 8.1 tablet is draining battery throughout the day, if I just use it in the morning, by the time I come back at night, it's under %25 remaining, if not totally drained.

I noticed this is due to the fact that the device remains on but in idle state. It's not even completely sleep I guess.
Can we find a way to put it in hibernation (the real good old hibernation) in order to retain the battery? This is making me consider selling the 10.1" tablet.

Hibernate was removed from the Windows Tablet OS's. Most times it is running some background service while in a sleep state. Even with iOS & Android OS devices, there is no real sleep state. If you do not plan on using it for a while, just shut it down.

I see, but my other tablets (Playbook and Kindle Fire, and I also had Samsung Tab 4 before) stay just fine without draining much batter, nowhere near my Win 8.1 tablet. Shutting down would be fine if it didn't take a while to load each time I boot it.

That is because Android OS is written to handle sleep state properly. Windows just turns off the screen, until you touch it.

You could try and tweak the power settings.
