    The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device


    I'm getting this error once a day, where my computer crashes, and the only way to turn it off is to reset it and turn off my charger so I can turn it on again. What can I do?

So after freshly installing Win 8.1 I was getting allot of crashes, narrowed it down to be atikmdag.sys driver being outdated, so off I went looking for the driver update, found it and tried to install it and got "Driver Install: the specified driver package was not installed for matching devices"...
I tried the "fix" suggested in another thread (change the service "Windows Driver Foundation" to Automatic from Manual) and it works for awhile. However, I have made the change several times since the Event Warning comes back after a few days. Anybody got a way to make the "Automatic" stick. ...
