Solved Keyboard And Mouse Stop Working

I'm not too used to computers and stuff, but every once in a while, my desktop will become hot and my mouse and keyboard would stop working. They're still connected to the pc and are still being powered but none of the buttons work. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the heat but it's just really weird. It mostly happens when playing games.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You didn't tell us anything about this computer, other than it is a desktop and runs W8.1.

What are the temps? Is the interior clean of heat trapping dust? Are all fans spinning? Have you scanned for malware? With what?

It sounds like your computer is locking up - a common heat related symptom.

I've found the problem, my computer's overheating a bit, 65-70 Celcius...

That's high but not "hot". But I would still want to get them down a bit. I don't like my temps to sit above 60°C for more than a couple seconds.

For sure, you need to make sure the case interior is clean of heat trapping dust and all fans are spinning. And note it is the case's responsibility to provide a sufficient supply of cool air flowing through the case so you may need to add another fan, or replace existing fans that move more air.
