Glitchy mouse

Hi,
Whenever I do something with my mouse or when I'm in my game (any that involves right or left clicking) my mouse just randomly right clicks, left and also moves around my screen. Is it my PC or my mouse?

Chances are it's the mouse. No other one to try, is it wireless, does it use batteries?

I would go into the Control Panel and test the mouse.
Also see if it's up to date.
If it is as a last resort you might try a roll-back* but I would get my hands on another mouse first.

Never bad advice if it leads to a fix.

Many times there is more than one thing to try. You are attempting to help, that is good.

1. It is not wireless, it requires you to plugin in a USB then turn on the mouse)
2. Yes, I use batteries

Yes, there are hybrids that can work either way but cord is mostly to recharge batteries.

Thanks, learned something. I didn't even realize they were out there, never looked I guess. So they are wireless right if the cord is used to just charge? Come to think of it guess I have seen those but wouldn't really be a USB mouse the way I think of one. Getting the actual signal through the USB cord versus wireless/bluetooth.

OK, that makes sense. They are actually only wireless though, just charge with the cable. Not like they can work through the USB port also. Only reason I'm being so picky is it makes a difference when helping someone to troubleshoot.

I'm sure I have seen some that work both ways but as I'm not interested in those high $ mice can't remember now which ones.
