Hello guys, I was messing around with my external hard drive with Ubuntu and corrupted/screwed it up. So I got on disk management with this laptop that's running Windows 8.1 and currently trying to format the hard drive so it is useable again. Unfortunately I unchecked quick format and it has been running for about 30 minutes... It is only at 2%.
This is a 3.0 USB 3 TB hard drive. My laptop is USB 3.0 as well.
Any ideas on how long this is going to take? Or if there is a way to safely cancel the format without messing up the hard drive even more?
