keyboard and mouse playing up

Occasionally my keyboard would just type seemingly random characters and would act as if windows key or shift or something is being pressed and my mouse would open programs with left click rather than switching to them in the task bar. To solve this I unplug and plug my keyboard, and press the shift key twice and everything is ok including the mouse, but many times this does not even work and i have to restart my computer until it does.. What could be my problem ??

thanks

Have you tried an in-depth virus scan ?

Have you tried running---

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

&

sfc /scannow

in admin cmd prompts ?

Hi,

I´m curious. Could you tell us manufacturer and model name ?

PD: I would seriously think about changing keyboard and mouse. These are not expensive piece of hardware nowadays.

XD

I tried my keyboard on another computer and it seems to work fine. Considering that most of the time it does work it seems to be some sort of software issue. Anyway I did what david suggested and havent got any issues so far, but we'll see over next few days.
