Two different Win 7 computers on my network can't find the HP1160 USB connected printer on the Win 8 installation of my dual boot configuration. The Win 7 computer has no problem finding and installing the same printer when accessing the Win 7 installation of my dual boot configuration. Its interesting to note that it finds my networked Dell 1320c printer both at its network IP address and as a printer available "through" the Win 8 installation.
I have tried all the available installation methods: search (of course), browse and selecting the Win 8 computer, providing the computer/printername and finally supplying the Win 8 IP address. The Win 7 computer simply will not recognize the printer attached to the Win 8 installation. All the permissions are turned on for printer sharing as well as file sharing. Turning off the Norton and Windows firewalls doesn't help either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
