Solved SD Card Reader no longer being recognised Code 45

My Dell laptop has a SD card reader slot in the front. This was fine until a few days ago, when it stopped responding to an SD card being inserted (it's the same card that was recognised before, and is recognised in a different laptop so I know the card is okay).

I can't see the card reader either in Windows Explorer or in Disk Management.

I finally found something in Device Manager under 'Hidden Devices' and there was the error message below.



How do I reconnect this please as it makes no sense to me.

Have you tried uninstalling the driver and re installing it?

Hadn't tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but today the SD card reader worked as normal, so maybe this is just one of those one-off things (I hope so).
