Transfering RAM and Harddrive components between laptops.

I'm planning to transfer the RAM and HDD components between my older Asus G750JS to that of the Sager NP9377 i'm planning to purchase later on. Is it possible to do this?

    My Asus G750JS uses 3 7200RPM SATA III drives (2x 1Terabyte - 1x 500gb) and utilizes two sticks of Dual-Channel 1600mhz DDR3 SODIMM ram.

Whereas the Sager NP9377 (as far as I can tell from the XoticPC upgrade section for the laptop) uses 7200RPM SATA II drives and has 1 stick of Dual-Channel 1600mhz DDR3 (does not say whether or not it's of the SODIMM variant) ram.

So would it be possible for me to transfer my older Asus's secondary and optical disk bay drive to that of the Sager? Along with one of the sticks of RAM regardless of it being of the SODIMM variant vs. the Sager which supports the non-sodimm variant?

Is it due to the fact my Asus laptop uses SODIMM variant ram? The specs and type of ram (aside from it being known as SODIMM, whatever that is) is the same.

RAM transfers are iffy. You have to check the mobo specs in detail and also the current Dimms. They should be all the same. No problem for the disks.

SODIMM is a form factor. Most laptops, notebooks, netbooks and large tablets use it.

I can't enlarge the picture for some reason, but from what I can tell the differences between the lot of them seem marginal... However, i'm guessing the "pin" count is what makes them incompatible with each other, yes?

However, if what you're saying is true. Then it's likely that the Sager is using SODIMM ram anyway because it's a laptop machine?
