The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device HID\ITE8350&Col02\5&39e466f8&0&0001

The Administration Event Viewer code ......

HID\VEN_ITE&DEV_8350&Col01
I've checked and cannot find the proposed use of this device .... it is a Microsoft Device from 6/21/2006 ..... searching under the Vendor or Device ID yields nothing ....... the "Driver Details" choice in Device says it does not require a driver or it is not installed ....... I think it is one of those "raw" class drivers that uses a device specific driver that comes with the device purchased and then is installed ........

"A multi-touch device reported inconsistent contact information." is another error message that occurs a second or two after the first ......... both occur right after boot-up ......
Disabling the device in Device Manager produces no noticeable effects ...... its obviously not being used with the touch monitor or bluetooth keyboard.

I guess not being able to load a driver fits nicely with not having a driver. The "multi-touch" device thing has me curious however, I guess I'll just ignore the "Events".

However, if anyone should happen to know what the intended devices for use with this driver are, please let me know.

It would be nice if Microsoft would list their drivers/devices somewhere on their website with intended uses even if they are broad categories.

Sure it isn't associated with your Bluetooth keyboard? Whatever it is, uninstall it, see if it comes back.

Uninstall ?

Just out of curiosity, if someone has a minute ...... in Device Manager under HID ...... near the bottom ... the second of two devices named " HID-compliant Vendor-defined Device" .... with the matching ID ....... what is listed as installed in the "Events" tab and whether you get the same message (no drivers needed or not installed) under "Driver Details" under "Driver" tab .... another Windows "variation" ??
