Can't enable auto-rotate although Win recognizes sensor

Hello everybody, I need a bit of assistance with this problem since I never really worked with sensors and I have no idea how Windows handles them. I have a Modecom x86 tablet (although that shouldn't matter) and this problem occured after reinstalling Windows 8.1 on it. The problem is that I can see the sensor (Kionix KXCJ9 Accelerometer SPB) in device manager but Windows does not seem to recognize it. I'm not sure how I can test this besides going into screen resolution and checking is the auto-rotate checkbox avaliable.
Note: Sensor Monitoring Service is enabled.

There really isn't much more I can say about this problem but if anybody here needs more information about it, just ask and I'll provide it ASAP. Thanks upfront.

I went out and did some searching and it appears to be most likely a driver issue as other have reported similar problems.

Here is one post I found talking about driver packages and such..

Auto rotate does not work on fresh Win8.1 installation - Tablet Onda v975i Forum - Onda Tablet Forum

I am not familiar with your tablet and you did not include the model number or anything.

Also,l have you installed all updates (including driver updates) since the re-install? Updates can fix driver issues sometimes.

    Hope this helps.

I did not include my model number since it really doesn't matter - I've gone as far as to even contact Modecom but they just told me to send it in for repairs. The exact model is Modecom FreeTAB 8010 IPS B.
I've installed all updates including optional ones, no luck.
I've also read the thread you've linked and it seems that the simple orientation sensor driver and the accelerometer driver need to be installed. I guess simple accelerometer driver is just an emulated sub-device of the accelerometer? The problem with that is there's only one unidentified device in the device manager which is the accelerometer. When I install it's driver, there are no other unidentified devices that I can assign the simple orientation driver to.
I see that someone provided the driver in form of an executable file on the linked forum but I really don't trust random mediafire links on the internet so I'll keep that as my last resort.
Any ideas? In the meantime I guess I'll keep finagling with the drivers I've backed up from the original installation.

EDIT: Since I'm way too impatient - I've installed the exe from the forum and the auto rotation is finally working. Problem now is that it's uncalibrated and rotates my screen incorrectly. When I rotate my tablet so it's in landscape, the screen turns to portrait and vice-versa. Got anything, any way to calibrate this?

Well, the forum I posted was the drivers for THEIR system which is not (necessarily) the same drivers for YOUR system.

But, I think it is fair to say it was (and still is) indeed a driver problem.

I don't think their driver is the right driver yet.

I would contact your vendor and see if they can steer you towards the RIGHT driver. It could also be the VERSION of the driver you are using causing the problem.
If you have access to another tablet identical to yours at a store or though another owner in a forum, check the version and names of the drivers. And the revision #.

You can also check in device manager for the Device ID (PCI\VEN and DEV) numbers to help search for the right driver.

It is undoubtedly a driver problem. The driver might not be right but it works just well enough that it rotates but when I keep the tablet in portrait, it rotates into landscape and vice-versa. I have to work with what I've got so I'm searching for a way to assign tablet's position to screen's orientation in windows. Is there any way to just rotate the whole thing so it matches the sensor's orientation? I might not be explaining this right...

I've been in touch with Modecom's tech support before when I corrupted the windows install and they were pretty much useless, telling me just to send it in for repairs although I fixed it with a bit of help from some guys at one other forum - I'm thinking they wouldn't be much more useful regarding this problem. Unfortunately, I don't have direct access to another model of my tablet but I could probably ask them for drivers or something although I really want to keep that as a "last resort" option.

I will let you know that my tablet has the identical processor as your tablet does and with that info there is a good probability they share
    some of the drivers.

In my system, I have what appears to be 3 different orientation drivers.

Under Sensor I/O devices I have the "Kionix KXCJ9 Accelerometer SPB version 1.2.6.3
    Under Sensors I have "
Kionix Sensor Fusion Device" version 1.0.13.20 and also "Simple Device Orientation Sensor" which is a Windows driver version 6.3.9600.17415.

You might want to look for these versions of these drivers.

Other than that, I am out of suggestions. Sorry.

Maybe try one the drivers here?

Thank you for the information, I'll keep looking for the drivers guided by what you posted.
On the other hand, the site you linked is pretty much definition of a red flag - check out what it gives me:

Every "download" link posted there gives me their driver "updater" thing which I didn't even bother to install since I know it's gonna cause more trouble than good to my system. Would you mind posting the drivers directly from your tablet? They are located in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore.

    Dear Orlandotek,

Could you please update the link for the driver, I cannot download it anymore from OneDriver.

    Update:

I fixed the Accelerometer issue. If anyone has the same issue:
Download link to the proper driver:
    kxaccel-1.0.13.20-win8-x86.exe_å

Registry fix for 90 degree rotation bug:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR\0000\Device Parameters\kxfusion]
    "ACPI\\SMO8500\\1-0"="{CDA4B5F8-53B4-4E7C-8A73-0D69852FBEBA}"
    "Orientation"=hex:00,00,00,00,01,01,02

    Thank you!
