"drivers stopped responding and recovered" makes me crazy!

Hello there folks,

1st time for me on these forums, so nice to meet yall.
It's all in the title, i get this message all the time when i'm playing a game on my laptop for more than 5 min. It can't vary though, sometimes i get a screen freeze after 15 min, sometimes after 30 minutes, but i can never play more than an hour long without getting hit by that error message.

Here is my config:
Sager laptop (Lenovo)
i7-4810MQ @ 2.8Ghz, boost @3.6Ghz
2 Geforce GTX 880M w/ 8G ram each, SLI
17" screen, 1920x1080, 120Mhz
24GB ram
2 SSD 256Go each (windows, games...)
2 HDD 7200rpm, 1To each
Windows 8.1

If i play fullscreen, i get a sound coming from the desktop and the screen goes black. Then it's hell to get back to the desktop, usually i have to restart.
If i play windowed fullscreen, i get a screen freeze and i can exit the game using the task manager, but it's hell anyway.

Of course, i have the very latest Nvidia drivers, the 347.88.
Of course, i use a cooling pad.
I tried a few things like deactivating SLI, unistalling Geforce experience... but it doesn't work.

I also have HWmonitor running at all times to check the temperature. After a little while, it gets to 93°C (199°F) or so. But i'm not surprised considering it's an SLI config.

I also tried to replace the nvlddmkm.sys file located in Windows/system32/drivers by expanding another one using the cmd and pasting it, but then my screen went totally black and i had to work litteraly all night to manage to get out of it, creating an USB recovery from another laptop...

Anyway, i'm at a point where i don't know what to do anymore, and that driver issue made my gaming life so miserable that i hardly want to launch a game anymore. (no, it's not a good thing!)

Please.... I really need help with this.

I recently had a similar experience with my brand new GT610 from Asus, I suspect the latest drivers from Nvudia so I rolled back one version. So far so good.
