Hi guys, I'm currently in search for a laptop cooler. I prefer something wide enough to accommodate the base of my laptop. I've noticed that most of the cooler models tend to cover the laptop's built-in fan located at its left side. I would like to ask suggestions from the community for laptop coolers that would fit my preferences. Thank you :)

I use one similar to the Vantec LapCool4 w/ext. power supply. Powering the pad's fans with an external power supply (instead of through the notebook's USB port) does not increase the demands (and thus, generated heat!) on the notebook's battery and/or power circuits.

Well, again, I would have picked one with an external power supply. It is counterproductive, IMO, to put additional strain on your notebook's power circuits (which generates more heat) to run these pads.

I would suggest and urge you to buy a small, lightweight USB wall-charger/adapter to power it.
