Wireless devices, especially wi-fi are known causes of the stuttering. Wireless peripherals potentially can also be a source of those problems.

As you also have the problem of keyboard not working unless rebooted, which is not an "audio" problem but may be one source of the stuttering, work on getting that corrected. It may be the particular keyboard interface. I had a Logitech wireless keyboard and had problems with slow reaction to keyboard keys. I replaced it with a Microsoft wireless keyboard and no more problems. I also have had similar problems with a Logitech wireless mouse (Bluetooth interface on both the keyboard and mouse or as Logitech calls it "Unifying" interface).

The first thing is to post the keyboard problem in the appropriate forum section. Get it resolved then work on the audio problem. I see you have posted the keyboard problem, see what happens there.

Power down, unplug the power cord from the wall then move the dongle (the wireless receiver) to a different USB port. Ideally, it should be in the pair designated for the keyboard and mouse which are typically at the top (assuming tower PC) of the rear panel I/O area. Then reboot and see what happens.

OK Ive got exactly the same issue. On turn on mouse works but keyboard dead. Use mouse go for restart keyboard now fine. System restore to before 14/03/2015 Intel (R) Technology Access clears the problem. But I cant stay on that restore point as it gives me so many other windows errors. Stepping back is a nightmare. So it looks as though that update has caused the issue but how do I fix it. At present turning the PC on is a 2 step process. All I can say is your not alone !! Any great ideas welcomed

So yesterday I went into task manager (processes) and found Intel (R) Technology Access (click on name to put in alphabetical order if that helps) and i ended the application. Mouse immediate ok. Today I find that it has stayed off (looked in services says stopped which is good news at present as PC is working fine. Keyboard good mouse good Disc not at 100% CPU back under 10% so that will do until hopefully intel do a patch.

Same case here. My pc is Acer Aspire XC-605 too. I got this problem a week ago. 2 days after I bought it. I did almost everything, replace keyboard and mouse, connect to every single usb socket, update chipset. NONE OF THESE WORKS! Been thinking what did I do for 2 days for this to happen. Guess what...92 Important and 3 Optional WINDOWS UPDATE. Do this:

PC Settings->Update and Recovery->Recovery->Remove everything and reinstall Windows->Only the drive where Windows is installed->Just remove my files

After all my frustration, the problem is GONE. I will never update again until Windows 10 maybe.

Update had HP support get back to me today. They came on line and uninstalled Intel (R) Technology Access and Intel Update. They say PC will just use standard drivers till a fix is issued all fine on the PC now. Allowing auto updates is a bit of a lottery. If anything needs sorting out in the PC world its all these different updates.............. Only waisted a day and a half not to bad !
