Hi

I've got a bit of a problem and after a bit of research I think I've narrowed it down.

I've just upgraded my Processor from a FX6350 to a FX8350. For some reason booted into windows and the keyboard does not want to work. Thought maybe because not powerful enough PSU so I've used another one (I've got a 500w and tried a 600w) and still got the same issue.

Thing is, the keyboard works in post boot and bios but not windows. Bit of research and people say it's the drivers. So I've had a look at device manager and sure enough theres a yellow warning icon on the keyboard and says it cannot find the drivers, so I've found the drivers for the keyboard and gone to install them but I've got another problem:- The driver installer wants me to insert the keyboard into the PC, which I have but it is still not being recognized and there is no lights on my keyboard or anything, the Next button is greyed out and nothing I can do. is there a way of getting round this?

I've got Windows 8 64bit, Saitek Cybourg V7 keyboard, and been doing this all in Safemode. In BIOS, Legacy USB Support and Legacy USB3 Support are both enabled

I've opened opened Windows update and it said there was an update for my keyboard so I've downloaded it and it's thrown up and error and cannot install it, the error is 800f0219

Could this still be a powersupply problem or is it simply drivers?
I never had this issue when I had the FX6350 installed, only since the FX8350 has been installed today has this happened

Is this a special keyboard? does your motherboard have ps2 connection for a keyboard/mouse? If so, try connecting a ps2 keyboard as a temporary solution until you can iron out the driver issues. Or maybe just a plain vanilla USB keyboard will do the trick. I don't think your PSU has anything to do with it. Hope this helps.

Hi

It;s a gaming keyboard But I just use it as a normal keyboard now. I've plugged in a spare keyboard I've got and no problems what so ever with it. I'm going to put my old CPU in and see if I have the issue or not and will then get back to you.

For some reason, just put back in my old CPU and that does not work. I think to save my self time and effort, I'm going to go and quickly pop to the shops and buy one!!
