Hello all,

I have a desktop computer which has stopped allowing connection of storage (USB) devices to the motherboard. Also the card reader does not work. (see attached for device manager snap shot).

notes
I have isolated the issue down to a driver error between windows 8.1 and Intel but cannot seem to find a way around it.
Contact made with Gigatbyte who have not helped resolve.
I build 2 x desktops for client and second desktop does not have this issue.
Mobo flashed to latest bios.
chipset updated to latest
even went as far as replacing the motherboard. Still received the same error message.

only other option i now have (and suggested by Gigabyte) is fresh install of windows 8

spec
windows 8.1
gigabyte H81 motherboard (1150 chipset)
Intel G3258 processor
Kingston 8gb RAM

anyone out there had/experienced the same issues? (all comments welcomed)

Many Thanks in advance.

Regard
Andrew :sarc::(

New case? If yes unplug the card reader and case USB cables. Then see if the onboard USB ports work.
