Win 8 Wireless option disappeared

I have a d-link DWA 525 wireless network adapter on my PC.

I have used it on this PC with win 7 and win 8.

Few months back, I noticed that the wireless was much slower than the ethernet cable. Since I didn't have much time then, I started using the cable and probably deleted the wireless adapter under 'Network connections'.

Now I want to use wireless again. But surprisingly, the 'wireless' option has disappeared from my PC. The device manager shows an exclamation mark near the wireless adapter. Here are things I tried:
- I have uninstalled this adapter
- Reinstalled the driver with the CD which came with the device. No change!
- Uninstalled again and reinstalled with the latest drivers from d-link website. Still no change!

What should I do?

I have attached a screenshot of my device manager. I think this is the reason why the wireless option has disappeared from my PC.

Another screenshot showing this message: This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

In the device properties this message shows up: "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."

Is there a conflict between my network adapter and another device?

How can I solve it?

1. Disable other network adapters: at least those two: NVIDIA nForce and Microsoft Kernel.
2. Update BIOS or just load default BIOS settings, save and restart.

Is it safe? I hope I won't lose my existing LAN connection as well if I do so, messing up whatever I've got now.

Do these two have any other important functions which I may lose by disabling?

No need to update BIOS, just entering BIOS and loading default settings, might do the trick.
But I can not guarantee, that your LAN or wifi would work, so better try other options beforehand.

I entered BIOS and loaded default settings. It didn't help though! :(

Are there any other options as you've mentioned?

Disabled NVIDIA nForce as well and loaded default settings in BIOS. Didn't help. Hence re-enabled NVIDIA.

I can think only about the hard way to do it. Check I/O of your wifi's adapter and then go through all your devices and find the one, which uses the same I/O, if it is not something needed, you can disable it.

Sorry that I was unable to help. I have found one more tip though.

Start - Run - msinfo32 - Check conflicts/problem devices it might help to find the cause of the problem.
Under Conflicts, you can see, which memory/I/O is shared with your wifi, that should be the culprit.

This is device manager in resource view. It appears that NVIDIA nForce PCI system management is conflicting here. Is it safe to disable it?

It is needed, because it manages PCI devices. Depending on your BIOS capabilities, either allocate wifi card to IRQ21 or disable some devices like LAN adapter and other devices, you are not using, like card reader or DVD-ROM. It might free some resources. It is strange problem anyway, to be unable to use all devices.
