hi guys

how do i see if my usb camera is plugged in and working on my pc ? is this the place to ask this question ?

its plugged but i dont see a icon any where i can click to open the camera and test it.

please help

You may look in your camera documentation. My camera has no special software installed and when I plug it into the USB port, nothing happens. I have to use the upload function on the camera for pictures to upload to the Pictures library.

It will show up in Device Manager under USB. As for testing it, there is a Camera app automatically installed in Metro App's for Windows 8.x.x.
