Unable to save secure boot disable and change boot order.

Have been checking different posts and sites for an answer to my problem and have found none that work. My machine is an Asus t200ta with Win 8.1 and uefi. I can turn off secure boot and change the boot order to boot from my external flash drive. When I go save settings my machine says "Preparing Bitlocker recovery" and a screen then asks me to enter the recovery key to get going again.
Under normal circumstances I would have no hesitation in obtaining and using this key, but my machine is only a week old and I would prefer the advice of people in the know.

Suspend Bitlocker drive encryption by typing > manage-bde -protectors -disable c: from an elevated command prompt.

Reboot the Operating System and run > manage-bde –protectors –enable c: to re-enable

or you can choose to decrypt the hard drive and turn bitlocker off > manage-bde -off C:

Thanks for the reply KYHI. I am able to suspend bit locker using the command that you suggested however when I reboot into uefi and switch off secure boot the same thing occurs, boots into bitlocker recovery. I have not tried turning bootlocker off yet, but may pick up the courage to do so today. Thanks also for the links, I will peruse these and try to make sense of them.

Managed to remove bitlocker and disable secureboot, however I still cannot boot from a bootable Linux USB Flash drive. There is no problem with the flash Drive I can boot from it on another computer and my laptop picks it up in all USB ports. So thanks for your response it must be an Asus problem.

Yes the boot flashdrive is uefi, I built it with Rufus also I can see no option to use legacy bios.
