How many hard drive can motherboard support ?

    How many hard drive can motherboard support ?


    I have a laptop and the motherboard is Dell 0rp6c8
    How many internal hard drive can support ?

    I used Speccy and it show that it has :
    Slot PCI-E x16 "In use" and (5) Slots PCI there are (2) Available
    does it mean I still can connect (2) hard drives ?

    I would know the way to know that please !

    On a laptop you can only attach additional harddrives via USB or if you have a PCI-e slot. For the latter you need a PCI-e card - one like these:

    You mean I can attach an internal HD ?

    If you mean a bare bone disk with "internal HD", then yes provided you have a disk enclosure that attaches to USB. Here are some enclosure examples:

    In a laptop you have only 1 disk bay (unless it is one of the rare 17" models with 2 bays). So no, another internal disk is not an option. There is no place to put it.

    And I am not - do this day - ready to sell my 1720.. I like this laptop with two drive bays..

    I use one drive to quad boot - xp - vista - win 7 - win 8.1
    and the other has all my DATA
