With notification thing do you mean a red speaker icon in system tray? or a notification pop-up. But yeah either plug in your headphones or stereo or speakers and the icon should show up in the tray then right click the icon play with the settings and get them to where you like them. You could always create a short cut to desk top for quick access but that's not as good because that doesn't have the right click menu.

The i over the OK at the bottom right is what I was looking for. Maybe if you page through the manager you can find it somewhere.

Sorry for interjecting here but, perhaps now that the OP has had the Realtek UI open you may be able to find the icon in the Notification Manager.

Q: After I upgraded my Windows8.1 OS to Windows 8.1 update, my device cannot be detected any more by AI Suite II-USB 3.0 Boost/AI Suite III-USB 3.0 Boost. (The problem is shown in the picture below.)

A: If customer upgrades Windows8 to Windows8.1 or to Windows8.1 update, the former version of USB3.0Boost may not work correctly any more, reinstall or visit ASUS official website to download the latest version and restart OS after finishing installation to solve this problem.
*Version requirement of USB3.0 Boost:For AI Suite II-USB3.0 Boost, the required version is 1.05.18 or higher. For AI Suite III-USB 3.0 Boost, the required version is 1.06.20 or higher. Go HERE

No yellow icons is good. the boost is for the MOBO not any specific windows version being that its just a driver that tells the software how to communicate the hardware. If you look at some of the drivers some are even pre-windows 7 from 2006.

Sorry for late response, I just woke up. As long as it's not the usb driver itself, no. On my windows 7 laptop ASUS had it's own driver (AsMedia USB 3.0), but not packaged in a suite. I was just thinking that maybe this was their new driver.
