Help regarding installation of Rapid Start Technology

That should not stop you to install IRST drivers but they are mostly for SATA ports in AHCI mode and that's mainly for SSD drives.

Can install IRST fine but, I don't think its making any difference in hibernation shutdown and start up times. Here are the times which I got

    Shutdown time for hibernation

    with out IRST driver
    1st-13.9 sec, 2nd - 10.1 sec, 3rd - 10.3 sec

    With IRST Driver
    11st-10.4 sec, 2nd - 10.7 sec, 3rd - 10.4 sec

    Startup time from hibernation

    with out IRST driver
    1st-19.5 sec, 2nd - 18 sec, 3rd - 19 sec

    With IRST Driver
    1st-19.3 sec, 2nd - 19.2 sec, 3rd - 19.2 sec

And I have installed my OS in 128 gb Msata SSD and hiberfil.sis is also in same os drive and even the partition drive I created for IRST too.

So what do you think is going wrong?

Those are still respectable startup times but maybe too many startup programs ? It doesn't look like IRST is helping any.

Yes that's what I am bothered about. IRST should improve my shutdown and startup times right?

As far as I know, they are to improve SSD performance and that's supposed to speed windows loading too. I have no Intel machine with W8 at this time, so can't compare. I don't even have hibernate enabled and windows is still up in about 12 seconds with a lot of startup programs, AV etc.
