I can give you my test results for my USB 3. I guess I'm measuring the port and cable and device, but that's all I have. Maybe you can use them for comparison. I have 2 WD USB 3 external HDs. One is F drive 3 TB. The other drive N 2 TB. I have the blue USB 3 cables. I have read that 5 Gbits/s never happens in a dream world. I have never got that speed. as you can see on my test. My 138 MB/s =1.078125 Gbits/s transfer rate. According to the chart 5 Gbits/s =640 MB/s.
In Device Manger right click on root hub and select Properties Then you can get to Advance. Hope this helps.

I have been having some strange issues with transfers from a USB 3.0 compact flash reader lately. When I start the transfer the speeds top out at 130 Mb/s but soon drop to 0 Mb/s. This seems to happen the moment that Windows 8 "populates" the Explorer window. When I am getting normal speeds...
