    Logitech Wireless Mouse

My Logitech cable mouse was acting up and a bit dodgy, so I thought, go and get another. Bought a Logitech Wireless Mouse and in games its very hit and miss, it works, it stutters etc. It is right by the usb plug in, so its not that. Looks like its back to usb mouse?

Just for the record, what type? Try to reinstal Logitech SetPoint.
Open Unifying software, un-pair the mouse and pair it again.
As a gamer, do not forget to disable pointer acceleration.

I uninstalled the software and installed it, no unifying on this model (M185) but disabled acceleration, so far it appears to be an improvement. One thing, I made sure I installed the 64 bt version as I am not sure if the previous software wasn't 32 bit.

    Thank you

edit: took it back and got an M235 unifying mouse

I run a bunch of Logitech cordless devices, trackballs, keyboards, and a track pad. They are all Unifying. They all work without having to install Setpoint. All the basic stuff works anyway. There are some custom keys on my keyboard that don't work but its nothing really needed for general use. Just a bunch of shortcut keys for office etc. If you hunt around on the Logitech site you can find the stand alone Unifying installer. I've installed it so I can link and unlink devices from the unifying receiver. My keyboard came with a mouse that I don't use. I just linked the keyboard to the receiver that came with my Trackball. Then I unlinked the keyboard from its original receiver and gave the mouse and receiver to my Dad. I did have to install Setpoint on the PC my track pad is used on, otherwise I don't get any 2 finger scroll and other gestures. Point and click still works, I just don't get the support for gestures. I like being able to mix and match devices with the unifying receivers.

M570 Trackballs here, also used for gaming. I wore out one click button on one of them after years of use. I just bough an inexpensive Logitech USB mouse and robed one of the micro switches out of it. Soldering it in was the easy part. Finding the one hidden screw to open it up was the hard part. The mouse was less than 20 bucks on sale, a new trackball would have been 60 bucks. Now I have two more spare micro switches.
