Ok so I tried out the Windows 8 Developer preview on my computer. I loved it, and I thought it would be better on a tablet (duh). So I decided to build one, out of an old dell latitude D610. I upgraded the memory and ordered a touch screen, an eGalax resistive touch screen. I have windows 8 now working fine, the screen is actually flipped over so there is no keyboard and trackpad. It's all fine, but Windows only recognizes the touch screen as a mouse, and won't let me use any of the touch screen features. Is there any way to make it recognize it as a touch screen? Like modified drivers?
tl;dr: Is there any way to make an eGalax touch screen work in Windows 8?
