Solved Dell inspiron 15 5547 randomly shuts off when moved

As you can see I have a dell 5547 and whenever I moved it it shuts off. takes a while to turn it back on. its probably something messed up in the wiring.

Did you try cleaning battery contacts ?

I have the same problem, is this normal? I also assume that something / some contact is being disconnected while moving e.g. the hard drive...

The case is a bit flimsy.

I also assumed it had something to do with "lid closing" actions in power management. So i disabled these which were set to "sleep when lid is closed" but still had the problem.

Let me know. is cleaning the contacts really going to solve this? it's a new laptop not even a couple months out of the box.
