Hi guys,
Windows 8.1, Asus KL551 laptop.
So the problem is: I wrote Ubuntu to an Usb stick, because my friend needed it on her laptop. The program i used: LinuxLive. There was an option wether i wanted to create a virtual disk or not. I didn't know what that was, so i chose this option. After the progress i had an extra E: virtual disk on my computer. I didn't know what to do with it, so i just deleted the files in it. Then when i restarted my computer there was a booting problem, Windows wouldn't boot. So i plugged the usb stick into my laptop, and booted Linux from it. I started a program called G-Patrition. There i deleted the virtual disc, and restarted. Windows booted, it worked perfectly. But when next i started my laptop the usb stick was still there and I accidently clicked on "Install Ubuntu". So a window came up with some settings and started the installation, i clicked on the X to close it, but it froze. After a half an hour the same frozen screen was there, so i pressed the power button to shut down. It was a stupid thing beacause now my BIOS can't boot from HDD. The only boot option is the CD/DVD or USB. It says "Reboot and select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press any key..." The interesting thing: When boot from USB Try Ubuntu Without Installing, Ubuntu sees the Hard Drive, but i can't see the contents and folders in it. Rightclick information: 991 GB space, 49 GB in use. This 49 GB is my Windows 8.1 and my programs and files. What should i do? How can i boot from HD if there's no such option in Bios settings?
