Clearspot Voyager and NAT router

Does anyone know if it's possible to connect my clearspot voyager to an NAT router so I can use the voyager as a modem and the router as a hardware SPI firewall (both devices wired)? I can't seem to find any info on this. Thanks!

The Hotspot is already a router. You would only need it, since it already has a built in firewall and does NAT.

Unless you are doing a router behind a router, to keep others from accessing files on your computer. Then you would set the second router up under a different IP scheme. Say hotspot is 192.168.1.1 to get into admin interface. You set the second router for 192.168.2.1 and to use the 192.168.1.1 hotspot for connection to the Internet.

I'm pretty sure my Voyager doesn't have stateful packet inspection, which is what I'm looking for in a router. Sometimes Clear (Sprint now) is my only connection, and that's why I'd like to know the technical How, my Voyager is connected by USB and Wireless is disabled (it keeps anyone from piggybacking and I'm the sole user so it's safer and there's no downside). The Voyager has a USB cable, but the routers I've seen and used are wired for ethernet cables. Is there an adapter that will work, or a router with USB?

You do not need a second router, unless you are trying to set up a second LAN behind the Voyager. The NAT on the Voyager is pretty good. You are really over thinking something that does not need the extra hardware. If you want to use a firewall on the computer, just enable Windows firewall and be done with it.

As for the USB connection. It works the same way that Ethernet does.

Simple. You would have to turn off the NAT on the Voyager. Once NAT is turned off and you can find a way to connect the Voyager with your router, then it would work. Please remember, when people think of a store bought router, they are technically NAT boxes.

You are not able to on the mobile hotspots.
