I don't know if the S.M.A.R.T test I ran today was a indication of a possible HDD failure? Here's a pic to see if I'm reading it wrong or if I should be worried.

Yes, you have a few bad sectors and it will get worse. You can double check with another software such as Crystal Disk Info and compare the result: CrystalDiskInfo.V6.2.0

Is this the first time you ran Hard Disk Sentinel? SMART "Reallocated Sectors Count" errors indicate SMART thinks that block has or will have problems and safely moves your data before the block actually goes bad and your data is lost. Or that's the idea anyway.

If this is the first time you ran this, those blocks might have been in this state since the factory, and most likely, would never cause problems. But if you have run this program before, and now these are new errors, then I agree, it is only going to get worse. Time to backup!

If this is the first time running that program, then I also think chkdsk /r can help. And yeah, on a large disk, it can take overnight, or longer. Just let it run until it ends, even if it seems frozen. Then run your program again and keep track of new errors - while you start doing your home work and review some new drives, like another SSD.

Check your warranty. The drive may be warranted for 3 or more years.

Yea it's the first time I ran that program. I read when I googled it that it may be like that from the factory. I will keep a eye on it. No data issues with the drive and I did run chkdsk and presented no issues

Good and good. Still need a current backup though! ;)

It is a good thing to run on all new drives just to make sure all bad sectors are flagged. I'll bet there are no more problems with it but again be sure to monitor it for a little while at least.

I ran several HDD test tools with a Boot Disc I have and everything passed with no errors on the disk read or write. I ran a stress test on it and it also passed. So I'm not gonna worry. But one other question is it better to buy and run windows on a SSD Drive since it has no moving parts?

OK, so that confirmed you do have a problem with the HD. Do what Popeye advised to run: chkdsk /r C: so that the bad sectors will be marked and Windows will avoid using it. Eventually it will get worse so be prepared to replace it.

I plan on replacing at the begin of the year hopefully it will last that long. I plan on replacing with a SSD drive little pricey so I hope it's worth it I have all my data backed up to my home server.

Please do NOT try to repair the drive before you backup what you want from it.
Repairs can make it completely unreadable and unrecoverable.

Good luck..
