So it seams dell has not released new drivers for my alienware x51 motherboard for audio as they think the windows 8 drivers are good for win 8.1 and they have been solid so far, until i tried to play a game a new one metro redux 2033, and got a error screen freeze, so i sent the metro redux crash log to deep silver who makes it. They informed me i need to update my audio driver so i go look and i'm up to date according to dell. And to top it all off i got some special waves maxxaudio on here that the standard realtek drivers don't have, so thats not a option. Now i'm wondering as my last drivers both were release for the alienware aurora R4 with ALC 892 audio and the alienware x51 with ALC892 audio which i have, i see they updated the aurora with newer drivers for this chips set on dell support. So will those drivers work since its the same chipset ? or will it screw my computer up.
