Hope you guys can help me. I have the touch keyboard toolbar enabled in Windows 8. I'm talking about this:
It used to work just fine a couple of days ago but as of yesterday or so it stopped working. I click the keyboard icon but nothing happens. This still happens after resetting.
Any idea why this is happening? surprisingly Google was no help.
Thanks Nuccii but I think these are two different apps. I can turn the On-Screen Keyboard on, but not the Touch Keyboard. If I understand correctly, the one you're referring to is a moveable keyboard that has a different, more complete layout (see below).
The Touch Keyboard on the other hand opens a much larger (targeted at touch platforms I guess) keyboard that "slides" from the bottom of the screen and stays there (you can't move it as far as I know). See screenshot in op.
EDIT: To turn the Touch Keyboard on by the way you right click taskbar -> Toolbars -> tick "Touch Keyboard".
Double check to make sure that the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service service is enabled and set to Manual. It may have been disabled by mistake. If so, that would cause the Touch Keyboard to no longer open.
