Hi eightforums,
I'm running Windows 8.1 on a SDD with a second HDD along side it. Inside the Device Manager I disabled my second HDD and rebooted my system.
Windows started as normal, but a few key windows programs have stopped working:
- Task Manager
- Device Manager (basically all control panel functions)
- Powershell (Command Prompt Works, but can't be opened with administrative rights)
The main problem is that I now can't enable my second HDD. Does anyone have clue why the HDD is needed for these programs and how I can re-enable my HDD?
