Ram & display card upgrade

hi everyone,,, i dont know if this is the right place to post this.
can i upgrade both RAM & DISPLAY CARD???

and how?

The memory yes, the graphics most likely no. The majority of lower cost laptops have the graphics GPU soldered to the motherboard.

but it says,, upto 2.65GB!

The 2.65 GB is referring to the total RAM then be used for video, including shared system memory. Laptops rarely have a video card but have video integrated into the motherboard. This cannot be upgraded. The exceptions would be a few high end "Gaming" laptops.

RAM can be upgraded but only a 64 bit OS could use it. Your profile does not specify this.

Actually newer laptops & desktop motherboards, the GPU is a part of the CPU/APU. Cuts down on parts that have to be installed on the unit. Also speeds up the processing between the three.

Only RAM is upgradable in that machine. Adding more RAM will help system a bit and you can allocate more RAM to video card u by setting in BIOS but that would be futile because that GPU can not make a good use of more than 1 GB.

Actually that is not true. At least not on Intel + Nvidia laptops. The dedicated GPU is a separate chip with its own heat pipe attached.

Chip yes, separate card that can be changed is something entirely else.

Already said it was soldered in most cases, as in mine. Point being. AMD APUs is where it it is all-in-one, the Intel + Nvidia are separate. I'm done.

In this case that would not be practical even if possible. In laptops, MBs are too closely made for that possibility.
