    Is "D:" regular partition with data on it or maybe windows backup or something like that ? Can you post a picture of Disk Management ?

    Open the registry: + R -> Regedit
    and go to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

    If it's not there then go to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

    On the Right pane, if you see a DWORD called NoDrives with value = 8 then right click and delete it.

    In that case: NoDrives should have a value = 64 for G: drive.

    NOTE: I edited my previous post so it could be in one of the 2 places in the registry.
