Solved Unable to use bluetooth transfer in hp pavilion dm4

I'm using hp pavilion dm4.
and after all the internet search i'm unable to use my bluetooth under the OS windows 8.1 X64.
can anybody help me out to find the driver or some other way to get my bluetooth activated.
at the same time i'm confidentialy able to use my wifi no problem in it but in
settings>devices bluetooth doesn't exist...

Well your DM4 was built for Windows 7, so it depends if HP wrote Bluetooth drivers that will work under Windows 8. A quick check of HP's support site, shows that they have updated software for the DM4 series.

There is a Bluetooth driver under networking.

The only other thing is to check the Device Manager and see if the Bluetooth is even recognized. If it isn't listed (could be listed as a generic unknown device if the driver isn't installed), you may have a hardware problem.

Check all that and install the driver. If it is still not listed in the Device Manager, go buy a $14 Bluetooth 4.0 usb device. Asus has a great one on Amazon. It should work great and will be more up current standards since it is 4.0.

What kind of bluetooth module does it have, as in manufacturer and model? Mine is Qualcom/Atheros with hardware id of USB\VID_0489&PID_E04E&REV_0001
