Funny you mention a fridge compressor, I have just bought a new fridge and have stripped out an old Hitachi fridge compressor which I am using to blow my truck tyres up.

How could you use a fridge compressor to integrate into a cooling system (The gas has been released into the ozone already) But I am all ears and it sounds interesting.

Thank you for that, it is absolutely amazing video, -4C @ 99% load, that guy is pretty serious.
Who would have thought you could do that from an old fridge unit.

Yeah, it's amazing, but I have possible not the skills, time and space for such a project and I'm married as well.

I paired once my Thermaltake FRIO OCK with 2x EBMPapst-Fan's (355m3/h airflow each) which sounded like a Jet-Turbine and I had to use a Fan-Controller to keep it at ~40% speed, otherwise my wife would have had divorced me.

Just have a look how "professional" it was put together (cable ties / the side panel wouldn't fit anymore / highly professional noise reduction with some foam):

But I got my 2600k up to @5012MHz back then (AirCon running).

You have to be inventive with this stuff! I too an am married, so it is a bit of a balancing act to keep everyone happy. I told you I just bought the Corsair Hydro H100i cooler- well it does not fit inside the HAF 932 case so I had to take a pair of sheet metal cutters and cut out the top homeycomb of the case to get it mounted. The fans and rad. are on top of the case, very effective cooling, not pretty to look at and you wouldn't want to go poking round in the dark as the fans might cut your fingers off!

But as you have shown, some of these mods. actually work OK!

Thanks for all of the links, there was some very interesting reading there. I liked the one with the heat exchanger, I think you could probably adapt one of those passive coolers from the bottled water machines to cool the processor, condensation is always my worry with these super cooled gadgets, especially here in the tropics.

Keep in touch, let me know if you are trying anything new.

Yeah, condensation worries me a bit too, but when you have a look how they prepare the hardware for a LN2-Session, then you realize that it's not too hard to prevent any damage.

I have nothing planned atm., but if I will let you know.

Our home is not insulated, so it's quite cold in winter and very hot in summer and our humidity is usually quite high as well.

    I found some old screen-shot's:

    OC on Air @4864.85MHz:

    max. OC on Air @5047MHz:

    40% Fan-Speed:

    100% Fan-Speed:

I couldn't find any old benchmarks unfortunately.

You have to be a bit lucky to get the CPU out of a good batch.

My 4770k runs nicely around 4.5 GHz but temps get higher than I'd like to see them. While burning core temps reach +80°C. I have a H60 with 4 fans.
