Maybe a second hand computer shop. Then you are taking risks on how long that RAM will work.

Your model is XC-603G not AXC right? Like in your specs? Crucial which is what I always use is $44. Don't know otherwise, sorry.

So it's not worth the money for an upgrade if memory plus and SSD would cost more than the cost of the computer itself?

Depends what you use your PC for. Since I broke my laptop and have to use a 8 year old one instead I miss the memory as I try to run VMs. I would upgrade the memory if I could but mine only takes 3GB. You don't have to do memory and SSD together certainly.

I used Crucial to get my Memory stick and they didn't cost that much. My Asus came with 4GB and I bought another 4GB stick to total 8GB.
The other main site for memory is Kingston.

For the long term. It is worth the investment in installing an SSD vs. keeping the platter hard drive. RAM & Storage devices have never been cheap. Keep in mind that their prices vary, just like gas at the gas station.
