I just bought a refurbished Asus Q501LA from Amazon. I set it up and it was all working fine. Once I got to the login screen and pushed past there, if I try to adjust the laptop screen angle, the screen goes black. The only way to bring it back is to put the laptop to sleep and log back in (which usually makes it immediately turn off after getting past the login screen). The other way to fix it is to plug in the HDMI cable going to my TV. It only does this once inside the desktop. Every other time I can move the screen as much as I want, no problem.
This is really confusing and I can't figure out what it is. I have opened up a RMA with Asus to try to return it but ya.. If anyone has any suggestions, I am willing to try! As far as I could tell, it had the latest BIOS (version 212 I believe was on it).
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!
