How do you get this Windows?

Okay I've been testing this new Windows, and it seems one minute it knew where my printer was and printed; the next time I really needed to print......would not find the right ports. I've removed all printers and even tried to reload but it won't print. It is an Officejet J4680 with wireless capabilities so I even tried to turn off manually from the printer. Does anyone got any ideas?

Or from the Start Screen, hit Win key + I and click on More PC Settings. Then, go to Devices and theoretically, you should see your printer.

Thanks. I did spend almost an hour to two trying to follow prompts. That's when I realized 8 has a printer service that showed in the adm's control panel. I think I've narrowed my problem down:
I have a Athlon xII 64 but I was running 7 32 when I installed 8. It tells me I need to install the 64 version and I have tried.
It's that or it has to do with the ports. I use a USB port but that doesn't show as my local. It won't let me configure it so, I tried to pool printing from the USB , local and one other.
Then I got my local to show as active but the same dumb printer shows a queue n will. It let me delete the doc or remove the device.
It's late i will have to try tomorrow!
Night
