I have windows 8, and the mouse pointer doesnt move after the windows boots up.. But it works after i disconnect it and replug it.. Pls help.. It so annoying

If computer is started with PS/2 mouse connected you can hot swap it or even change mouse and it will work. Same goes for KB.PS2 ports are not hot swap ports like USB ports are. You could potentially damage your motherboard by unplugging and inserting the mouse while the PC is powered up. I'm surprised doing that actually gets it working.
