Solved Stuck at BIOS after resizing with Partition Wizard, help!

My PC specs: Asus P8Z77-V with a SATA2 WD Caviar Black 500GB. The HDD has four partitions, and I've had Windows 7 32 bit installed on C:/ for three years. Windows 8 was just installed four months ago.
Before this, I had my Windows 8 and BIOS ahci-enabled
C:/Windows 7 <> D:/Stuffs <> E:/Windows 8 <> F:/Stuffs
Yesterday, I needed some space on my F:, so I started Partition Wizard (I used this program a lot before with no problems) and cut 9gb from C, after that queue it to extend F: that much space.
Because C: is located first, but F: is located last, PW created 4 queue, which is cut -> move D: -> move E: -> extend F. The two first actions were performed fine, however when I restart as PW promoted, I was stuck at the BIOS, unable to access BIOS, with the red led lit on the P8z77-v, which means there was a problem with a boot device. If I unplug the HDD, the system goes into BIOS just fine, but obviously can't boot anymore.

There is a lot of important data on that disk which I can't afford to lose. My problem sounds almost like the same as this one: http://www.eightforums.com/installation-setup/8476-resizing-partition-win-8-stuck-pre-bios.html, however when he changes his BIOS to IDE mode, his HDD booted into Windows 7. However, mine doesn't. I've disabled Secure Boot, but that doesn't work either. It just stucks at the BIOS splash screen.

Currently I am considering to burn a PW CD and hotswap the HDD in order to fix the MBR and stuffs. But if somebody can help me resolve this, I'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yea, I'm thinking the only thing to do is boot with a repair CD and try to fix the MBR. All that partition moving may have mangled things to the point the MBR is glitched.

You may also want to pull the drive, put it in a USB caddy and pull anything important off it before you start messing anymore with it.

Thank you so much for replying. I'm starting to work on it but my only concern was, if the BIOS can't recognize the MBR, will Partition Wizard recognize the disk if I boot it on CD? Since P8Z77-V is supposed to be hotswap-capable, I'm planning to plug the sata power cable in first, boot the CD and then plug the sata cable last.
Does hotplug work that way? Or I should just get a hotswap bay to be safe? Since I will purchase a new 1TB Caviar Black tomorrow and transferring my old data to it, I might as well get everything necessary. It's just the data I need the most, so thanks for your advance.

I hot swap all the time with my usb caddy and never had a problem. Another Windows computer should see the drive just fine. I do make sure to eject the drive through the tray usb thingy though. If you use a boot CD, open a command prompt and see if the drive is there when you use diskpart>list volume.

I have several os installed , different bit versions.

That has never caused a problem for any partition manager.

Alright, thanks for the help guys. So just now I brought the HDD with me to a PC center and ask them to test it. They plugged it their test machine, which already has a HDD in it, and what surpised me was it was able to boot with both of them! My HDD has no problem at all, and all the data/partition is still there, as I can see though explorer. Everything was just like before with an unallocated space between D and E.

I asked the engineer to boot it up and let Partition Wizard do the work. He instead put in a recovery CD just to be sure. The test machine still boots with both the recovery CD and my HDD plugged in. I completed my previous work and rebooted. Didn't even need to rebuild the MBR, the test machine booted perfectly. Partition Wizard shown up to finish what it has started, but of course I cancelled it and proceed into Windows. Everything works just as well as before. I even rebooted another time just to be sure.

So the HDD has no problem. That's a relief. But here I counter another problem. When I plugs my HDD back in my machine, it still doesn't recognize it. Still stucks at BIOS unless I unplug the HDD. The test machine is capable of booting with both my HDD and a recovery CD, mine doesn't. Apparently mine trouble was the same as what the guy I linked in the first post, however when he changed from AHCI to IDE, his machine booted. This makes me wonder, whether the culprit is my motherboard? Or the BIOS, and I can reflash it if that matters.

TL; DR: It seems the HDD never had any problem to begin with, and I'm wondering if it is the motherboard which was faulty.

I will post another update tonight as I bring my whole machine to the PC center and ask them to test both. I just need further confirmations before sending it to the warrant center. (Been wanted to send it previously anyway). Thanks in advance, guys.

Sure hate it when another problem pops up while in the middle of doing something else. Sure can lead to a wild goose chase. Hope you get it sorted out.
