Acer ES1-511-C7PH has a wifi shielding issue?

Because after a few attempts to figure it out it seems like it.

My (nearly 2 year old) Acer V5-571G was killed in an unfortunate complication during upgrade, and I was forced to replace it while on a tight budget. After looking around I had settled on an Acer ES1-511-C7PH for $350CA (15.6" screen, Celeron N2830) which, although a bit wimpy, seemed to suit my current needs fine. And it worked great for about a day, then suddenly had very poor performance where netflix was very slow and stuttery and firefox itself would stutter a lot; yet resource monitor showed CPU and RAM at only 50% usage. It went away for a while so i thought it was a fluke, but after being forced to plug in after watching Netflix in bed for too long I found the stuttering problems actually seem to only happened when plugged in!

Testing using the Microsoft Silverlight test video, using shift-refresh to try to avoid cach assistance:

I can't see anything else that could cause it, so it can only really be that the power adapter interferes with the wifi of this laptop. I'll be resetting it then returning it tomorrow or Monday, but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone can me a different reason that I can fix or easily avoid?

Power adapter does not work at any frequency close to 2.4GHz so I seriously doubt it can interfere with WiFi signal that way. There could be some mix-up with Power Settings though. Set to high performance and see if that still happens.

High performance didnt help. I admit I cant even guess as to what would cause such a thing.
